Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. Accounts created by individuals under 18 will be immediately terminated.

Account registration requires a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.

You agree to use Settler solely for personal, non-commercial purposes to connect with other users for dating and relationship purposes. Prohibited activities include:

• Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information in your profile
• Impersonating any person or entity
• Creating multiple accounts
• Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the platform
• Harvesting or collecting user information for unauthorized purposes
• Engaging in harassment, threats, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward other users
• Posting content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or violates intellectual property rights
• Uploading sexually explicit content, nudity (except in profile photos where permitted), or violent imagery
• Soliciting money, financial information, or personal data from other users
• Promoting commercial services, advertising, or spam
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• Using the platform for any illegal activity or to violate local, state, national, or international law

You retain ownership of content you submit to Settler, including profile information, photos, messages, and other materials. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving our services.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you post, and that such content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms of Service or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

While we implement measures to promote user safety, we do not conduct criminal background checks or verify the identity of users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.

You acknowledge and agree that Settler is not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether on or off the platform. You agree to exercise caution and good judgment when communicating with other users and meeting them in person.

We encourage you to report any suspicious activity, harassment, or policy violations through the reporting features available in the app.

All content, features, and functionality of Settler, including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and the compilation thereof, are the exclusive property of Kiran Rai and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, unless explicitly permitted by law or authorized in writing by us.

Certain features and services may require payment of fees. All fees are charged in the currency specified at the time of purchase and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Subscription services automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the platform from which you purchased the subscription.

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect current subscription periods but will apply upon renewal.

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon deletion, your profile will be removed from public view, though certain data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms of Service, engaging in fraudulent or illegal activity, or for any other reason we deem appropriate. Termination of your account does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid.

Settler is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

We make no guarantees regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of the service, or that you will find compatible matches or achieve any particular result from using the platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kiran Rai and Settler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the service, including any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users
• Any content obtained from the service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred pounds (£100), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kiran Rai, Settler, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of and access to the service
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any content you post on the service

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of Settler following the posting of revised terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

If you do not agree to modified terms, you must discontinue use of the service and delete your account.

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
